Town of Hempstead Councilman Anthony J. Santino on June 15 joined the Lawrence-Cedarhurst American Legion, Post #339, for its sixth annual dinner honoring community veterans who served our nation at home and abroad across a span of decades. 

The dinner, held at the , saluted the volunteer service of our men and women in uniform just after Memorial Day.

Santino remarked that "our country continues to be the home of the free because it's also home of the brave. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart and the hearts of all your neighbors and fellow Americans, for your service and sacrifice."
