Beatles Tribute, Olympian in Long Beach, Fundraiser This Weekend

As the week winds down, people are looking for things to do to keep busy this weekend around Nassau County.
Here's a look at what's happening around the local area:
The Mystery Tour- A Beatles Tribute Band
- The Friends of the Wantagh Public Library is sponsoring a Beatles Tribute Band - The Mystery Tour. This group faithfully reproduces the look and the sounds of Beatlemania with authentic sounds and costumes.
- Three-time Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor is providing the next generation of aspiring volleyball players a platform to take their game to the next level with the Dream in Gold Juniors Clinic and Tournament Series Presented by Spalding.
- Malverne Community Theatre is holding the 2nd annual "Cocktails and Curtain Calls" fundraising event at Uva Rossa restaurant on Sunday, August 4th from 4pm to 7pm.
- Join Temple Emanu-El of Long Beach as we welcome Shabbat on August 2 at 7 p.m. Bring a picnic dinner at 6:30 p.m. and nosh and chat before we begin.
- Come down to KJ Farrells Bar & Grill on Friday, August 2, where Kamellot will be rockin' the house from 7-9:45 p.m!
- Feathers, beaks, talons and more! Meet live birds close up and in person and learn all about these flying wonders. Find out what kind of birds are found in your backyards!
- We grow organic veggies to give to a local emergency food pantry. To help subsidize the costs, we have a farm-stand, open to all, every Sunday, June-October, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- This fundraiser has everything- baked goods, hand-made jewelry, boutique clothes, live music, and a wonderful cause. SeriousFun Children's Network is a charity organization founded by Paul Newman that funds, builds, and staffs camps for terminally ill children who attend for free.
- The NY Lizards are inviting all members, families, employees and friends of Community Mainstreaming Associates to a wonderful event! The Lizards, New York's premier lacrosse team, will be hosting our Special Needs Awareness Night on August 4 and we want you to join in the fun!
- A 5-piece Americana band from Delaware who write their own original music along with covering artists such as the Dixie Chicks, Sugarland, Avett Brothers, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, and many more.
- Come on up to the Rooftop32 for a little dancing, and singing, and moving to the grooving...sounds of Jerry and the Newcomers.
- Tickets are still available for the Saturday show. There is a two-drink minimum, and you most be 18 to enter. Doors open at 9:15 p.m.
