Congregation Beth Emeth says it is the only reconstructionist synagogue on the south shore. The temple originally opened in 1960 and became reconstructionist in 1994. The temple promotes a egalitarian approach, where women have equal access to religious customs. Rabbi Elliot Skiddell has led the congregation of about 120 families since 2006. Classes in Hebrew and Torah are available on a weekly basis, and a Hebrew school for children ages 6 and up is taught twice a week. A party room is available for rental. All in the community are invited to come in for services.
