Bio: Harvey Weisenberg has served in the New York State Assembly since 1989 and is now the Assistant Speaker Pro Tempore. He chaired the Assembly's Committee on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse from 1998 to 2000. Before being elected to the assembly, Weisenberg was a police officer and PBA President in the City of Long Beach, and worked as a teacher and school administrator.

Education: Weisenberg graduated from Long Beach High School in 1952. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from New York University in 1958, and Master of Science degree from Hofstra University. He also holds a Professional Diploma in Administration from C.W. Post University.
