The Nassau Medical Examiner's Office has determined the deceased baby found at Sanitary District 1 in Lawrence had been stillborn, police said Tuesday.
Police discovered the remains of the dead female baby at the facility at 2 Bay Blvd. last Wednesday after receiving a "report of a baby with difficulty breathing," according to police.
Fourth Squad detectives said they are concerned about the physical and mental well being of the birthmother and request that anyone with information regarding her identity should contact the Fourth Squad at (516) 573-6553.
