Former Hewlett Gulf Station Sold to Retail Developer

The Peninsula Shopping Center could soon get some new neighbors as retail stores may be coming to the former site of the Gulf station on Mill Road, which shut down last September.

The 18,000 square-foot property at 440 Mill Rd. in Hewlett was recently sold to 228 Owner L.L.C. for $1.9 million, according to The New York Times. The seller of the property is listed as The Sheldon Trust, while the real estate brokers are Kenneth Roth and Scott Reiss of Kenwood Real Estate Services.

What kinds of stores would you like to see move into that space?
